Import your catalog from Jobber

Once Jobber is connected, click Import from Jobber in Settings → Integrations → Jobber connection. Pricebookr pulls every product and service, bringing in name, description, the unit price (into your default pricebook), whether each is a Product or Service, and the cost — only when Jobber actually has one recorded.

The import keeps running while Settings waits for the result. Reloading Settings resumes its status display. New and changed imported items record history after their prices are saved. If a server restart interrupts an import, import again to reconcile the catalog; do not treat a missing status as a completed import.

Prices and costs

Jobber's costs and markups are included in its current Grow and Plus plans. If your account has no cost data available to import, your selling prices still import normally. You can enter costs and calculate markups in Pricebookr even when Jobber cannot accept those costs. See Jobber plan requirements for pushing costs.

  • A $0.00 cost is normal, not a failed import. Jobber services are commonly priced by market rate with Cost and Markup left at zero. Pricebookr keeps the price you set and excludes those items from cost-based markup rules until a cost exists.
  • An imported price starts as a manual price. Importing alone never changes what you charge. On the Catalog it shows a manual badge. When you explicitly preview markup bands, linked Jobber prices with a cost and matching band are included automatically; applying the preview moves them onto the schedule. Items without cost stay unchanged.
  • Your own costs are safe. If you enter a cost in Pricebookr for an item Jobber has no cost for, re-importing will not overwrite it — Jobber has nothing to send.
  • A cost from Jobber lands as material cost. Jobber keeps one cost figure per product; Pricebookr keeps two, material and labor. An imported cost goes in as material, which you can split afterwards.
  • A split you've entered here wins. Once an item has a labor cost in Pricebookr, importing leaves that item's costs alone — Jobber's single figure knows nothing about your split, and applying it would either wipe your labor line or double-count it. Pricebookr is the source of truth for cost.
  • And the import tells you when it did that. If a cost you changed in Jobber was not applied because the item is split here, the import summary names those items and counts them. That is the one case where Jobber and Pricebookr genuinely disagree about cost, so it is reported rather than passed over — the number you edited in Jobber is not the number your prices are coming from. To take Jobber's figure on one of those items, clear its labor cost and import again. An item whose Jobber cost already matches its total here is not a disagreement and is not reported.
  • Your first import switches on Jobber sync for the default pricebook, because that flag is what makes pushing back work. The import summary says so. Turn it off in Settings → Company → Pricebooks if you want the integration to stay one-way.

What to expect

  • Each Jobber product is linked to a Pricebookr item, so future imports update in place instead of creating duplicates.
  • Re-running the import is safe — it updates existing items and only adds genuinely new ones.
  • Imported items show a Jobber Sync badge; filter to them with the source toggle on the Catalog.
  • Items you've deleted in Pricebookr stay deleted on re-import if you also hid them in Jobber; otherwise they're restored.
  • Products pushed for a non-default pricebook (named like Apples (Wholesale) in Jobber) are recognized as that item's price on that pricebook — they don't import as separate items.
  • Renames follow the sync direction. Importing adopts names changed in Jobber; pushing writes names changed in Pricebookr back to Jobber. The import summary lists any names it adopted.
  • Re-running the import only writes what actually changed in Jobber — untouched products are reported as unchanged.
