Once your catalog is priced, push it to Jobber so quotes and invoices use the new numbers. Pushing writes the name, description, Product/Service type and selling price to the linked Jobber product, plus internal cost and markup when your Jobber account supports them.
Pushing requires a paid Pricebookr plan. Everything that builds the price book is included in the 14-day trial — importing from Jobber, costs, markup schedules, pricebooks, bulk edits, and version history. Sending prices back to Jobber is the part that needs a subscription. On a trial, Push prices to Jobber still shows you how many item-prices are ready to send and then offers to subscribe; nothing in your catalog changes either way. Subscribe under Settings → Billing.
Which Jobber plans support costs and markups?
On Jobber's current standard plans, Grow and Plus include internal costs and markups. Jobber calls this feature quote margins in its sync errors. Jobber's Grow plan documentation lists Markups on Quotes, and its pricing page states that Plus includes all Grow features.
Core and Connect can still receive your selling prices and item details. You do not need to upgrade Jobber to send the selling prices you calculate in Pricebookr. Costs and markup schedules in Pricebookr work independently of Jobber's plan.
What happens if Jobber cannot accept costs?
Pricebookr first sends the selling price, item details, internal cost and markup. Only if Jobber explicitly rejects the cost write because quote margins is unavailable does Pricebookr retry with the selling price and item details, omitting internal cost and markup for the rest of that push.
The successful push shows a warning explaining that internal costs and markups stayed in Pricebookr. Your Pricebookr costs are preserved, and any existing internal cost or markup in Jobber is left unchanged. The warning does not mean the selling price failed to sync. Accounts that accept costs continue receiving prices, costs and markups normally.
If your account should have the feature, check your Jobber plan under Settings → Account and Billing and its Costs setting under Settings → Products & Services. After enabling the feature or upgrading, use the item's Sync button or Push all to send costs for items whose selling prices are already current.
Choose which pricebooks sync
Your first Jobber import turns Jobber sync on for your default pricebook automatically. For any other book, tick Jobber sync in Settings → Pricebooks. Your default book syncs with clean product names; every other synced book gets its own copy per item, named Item name (Book name) — e.g. Apples (Wholesale) — so techs can pick the right price on a quote.
Pushing everything
- In Settings → Jobber connection, click Push prices to Jobber.
- Pricebookr shows how many item-prices changed since your last push. Choose Push changed (recommended) or Push all.
- The push runs in the background with a progress bar — large catalogs take a few minutes because Jobber is updated one product at a time. You can leave the page; progress resumes when you return.
Pushing one item
Fixing a single price? Use the Sync button on that item's catalog row to push just that item across all its synced pricebooks. If no pricebook has Jobber sync on, the button is disabled and explains why on hover rather than failing after the click; on a trial it tells you that sending prices to Jobber needs a plan. Any per-row error appears inline on that row.
Good to know
- Items renamed in Pricebookr are renamed in Jobber on the next push; renaming a pricebook re-pushes its items so the
(Book name)suffix stays current. - Deleting an item in Pricebookr can hide the product in Jobber (Jobber has no delete API), so it stops appearing in line-item pickers.
- If a few products fail (e.g. Jobber validation), the push finishes the rest and lists the errors; it stops early only after repeated failures.
