Pricebookr keeps item versions and catalog snapshots so an administrator can review changes and recover earlier values. Deleting an organization also deletes its recovery history; do not treat it as an external backup.
Per-item history
Click History on a catalog row to review its changes. History follows your current cost and pricebook permissions. An administrator can revert to a prior version; reverting writes a new version and keeps the earlier history. The organization-wide audit log is also administrator-only.
Cost changes show as separate material cost and labor cost lines alongside the total, so you can see which half moved. Versions saved before material and labor were split apart record only a single cost; reverting to one of those restores that amount as material cost, which reproduces exactly the total — and so the same prices — that version had.
Catalog snapshots
A whole-catalog snapshot is captured automatically before every bulk price edit, rules run, CSV import, and Jobber import — and you can take one manually on the History tab. Rolling back shows a full diff preview first, and takes a safety snapshot of the current state so the rollback itself can be undone.
Trash
Deleted items go to Catalog → More catalog actions → Trash and can be restored during the 30-day retention window. They keep their SKUs while in Trash. See Restore deleted items and resolve SKU conflicts for restoring, deleting forever, and handling duplicate-SKU messages.
