Pricebookr exports your catalog in Housecall Pro's price book format. Because HCP imports Services and Materials separately, the export gives you two files — one of each.
One-time setup
HCP requires an Industry on every service, and it must match an industry in your HCP account. Set it once in Settings → Export settings → Housecall Pro industry (e.g. HVAC).
Exporting
- On the Catalog, pick the pricebook to export, then choose Export → Housecall Pro.
- Two files download:
…-housecallpro-services.csv(your Service-type items) and…-housecallpro-materials.csv(your Product-type items). - In Housecall Pro, go to Settings ⚙ → Price Book. On the Services tab, upload the services file; on the Materials tab, upload the materials file. HCP's wizard maps the columns and flags any errors before importing.
How fields map
Both files include Category, Name, Description, Price (the selected pricebook's price), Cost, Taxable, and unit of measure. The services file also includes your Industry setting. Item type decides the file: Service → services, Product → materials.
