The catalog is built for scale. Search by name or SKU, filter by category or source, and sort any column.
Adjust selling prices without costs
- In Catalog, choose Adjust selling prices, or select rows and choose Adjust selected prices.
- Choose the pricebook and either all existing paid prices or specific items. Items without a price in that book are excluded. Items priced at $0.00 are also excluded and named in the dialog, so a free estimate cannot become paid through a percentage or dollar adjustment. You can select up to 10,000 items per adjustment. Search filters the list; it does not narrow an all-items adjustment.
- Choose Same adjustment for every price for one increase or decrease. To treat lower and higher prices differently, choose Different adjustments by current price, enter the dividing price, then set the percentage or dollar change for each range. Rounding is optional.
- Click Review price changes. Review the current and new prices; use the page controls to see every proposed change. If you go back and change settings, review again before saving.
- Save the changes to Pricebookr. Changed prices are fixed, including any previously calculated from cost; the preview calls out how many will stop following costs. A catalog snapshot is saved first.
- Admins can choose Review Jobber sync if Jobber is connected. That separate preview includes all pending changes in all sync-enabled pricebooks. Nothing is sent automatically. Otherwise return to Catalog to use or export the prices.
If your prices already look right, admins can choose Keep current prices on the first step. This completes the pricing-review setup step without editing prices.
Advanced bulk edit: cost or price
Select rows and choose Advanced bulk edit…, or use More catalog actions → Bulk edit all items…. This applies a percent change, an added or subtracted amount, or a fixed value — with optional rounding to .99 or whole dollars. Pick what it edits:
- cost — changes unit cost. Schedule prices recalculate, and per-item percentage overrides recalculate at their own markup. Fixed manual prices stay unchanged.
- price — sets the price directly on the pricebook selected at the top of the Catalog. This is how you reprice items that have no cost to mark up. Edited prices become manual, so later cost edits and markup runs won't rewrite them.
Which part of cost you're editing
Cost is material plus labor, so a bulk cost edit asks which part it should move:
- material + labor — raises or lowers both by the same percentage. Use this for an across-the-board change: everything up 5%.
- material only — a supplier raised parts prices. Labor stays where it is.
- labor only — you changed what your time costs you. Parts stay where they are.
material + labor is available for a percent change only. Adding a flat amount or setting a fixed value has no single right answer once cost is two numbers — "set cost to $40" can't say how much of that is parts — so those ask you to name material or labor.
Cost edits require cost visibility. Price edits require edit access to the selected pricebook; FIELD members have a read-only catalog. Changes apply to the checked rows, or to every item when nothing is checked. Preview lists every row's old and new total cost — nothing is saved until you click Apply.
The button counts what it will change — Apply (294) above. If you close the preview with Dismiss, or leave the tab, nothing was written.
Finding the items that need attention
The No cost data chip filters to items with no cost recorded — typical of a Jobber import, and exactly the items a markup schedule will skip. Combine it with the row checkboxes to reprice just those. Manual → schedule… does the reverse: it hands manually-priced items over to the pricebook's markup schedule, skipping any that have no cost.
Bulk categorize & set type
Select items with the row checkboxes (or select-all-on-page), then assign a category or set the Product/Service type for all of them at once. Manage your category list — rename or delete categories — from Manage categories.
